2019 State Champion

The Lady Cougars of Charlotte Catholic completed their 2019 season as State Champions after a tough 1-0 victory in the state final over Myers Park High School on a chilly Boone Saturday at Appalachian State University. The winning goal was scored off of the only offensive corner for the Lady Cougars. This state title is the first for the Charlotte Catholic field hockey program that started in 2006. The Lady Cougars finished their 2019 season 16 - 2. This was also the first time a high school field hockey championship game was played at Appalachian State University and won by an Appalachian State University Field Hockey Alumna; Lady Cougars Head Coach Sheila Baker. The Lady Cougars were led this season by a passionate and committed senior class.
